The Puget Sound Photographic Collectors Society held their 37th Annual event at Kent Commons in Kent Washington, yesterday. This was a busy event, they were clearly busier than last year and had a wide array of things to see. One of the interesting aspects of this show is that a large number of tables are dedicated to a ‘museum’ type display. These are items to see and appreciate but are not for sale. You can really see some amazing collector pieces and talk to the people who own them. These guys are often VERY knowledgeable about the history behind the items. Honestly if we had more space in Newark, we would do a similar ‘museum display’. This is something we are looking into for the Portland show as we do have the space at the Armory for such a display.
The PSPCS also had scores of dealers with items for sale and buyers to help people part with their unwanted gear. The men and women that put on this event and many of the dealers and vendors that participate also helped the success of our 1st Annual Portland Show. Be sure to attend this event next spring, it’s a worthwhile trip and you can hang out in the Seattle area for a few days while your there. Seattle is a very cool city. Kudos to PSPCS for presenting another outstanding event.
